Yesterday Volcom returned for its annual Peanut Butter and Rail Jam and like all previous years, 2010 was a great success! The event began with four heats that consisted of a Men’s 15 and under division, Men’s 16 and over, Ladies division, and last but not least, the Open. Judges were wowed by the talent that this contest brought; some competitors traveled to Bear Mountain all the way from Utah to participate. After the final round, judges tallied up their scores and awarded 5 contestants from each division the opportunity of a lifetime: A chance to compete in the 2010 championships at Mammoth Mountain, CA. The lucky winners are: Men’s 15 and under: 5th: Jeremiah Belledin, 4th:Patrick Fava, 3rd: Mark Mortenson, 2nd: Drayden Gardner and 1st place went to Brandon Davis. Men’s 16 and over: 5th: Eric Leon, 4th: Nate Sovich, 3rd: Robert Tost, 2nd: Max Tanbara, and 1st going to Zander Blackman. And now for the Ladies: 5th: Indigo Monk, 4th: Maddie Mastro, 3rd: Melissa Spillman, 2nd: Saori Nasu, and 1st: Jamie Madrid. And for the moment you have all been waiting for, the OPEN class: 5th: Scott Hoffman, 4th: Ian Sams, 3rd: Scotty Vine, 2nd: Daniel Brown and 1st place going to Bear local and team rider: Zak Hale. HUGE congrats to those that will be competing for the title, Mammoth is sure to see a fair share of talent this year!
