Big Bear woke up to 4 more inches of new snow this morning. Add that to the 4 inches we received yesterday and we have a storm total of 8 inches. Groomers were busy last night laying out acres and acres of fresh corduroy. The conditions are simply excellent; our surface ranges from some of the most pristine machine groomed packed powder to you guessed it, powder!! All three routes into Big Bear are OPEN. Hwy 38 from Redlands & Hwy 18 from the High Desert through Lucerne Valley are open with no chain requirements. At this time chains are still required on all vehicles except 4WD & AWD with snow tires on Hwy 330/18 from San Bernardino.  Take your time and head on up, the conditions are well worth the drive.
