The 411

Big Bear woke to a light dusting of snow this morning, and it’s a good sign of more to come. Snow is forecasted today into tomorrow. Conditions are excellent right now with Machine Groomed Packed Powder.  Big shout out to El Nino for giving the goods to Big Bear this year; powder days have been EPIC, and it’s only early February!

All three routes into Big Bear are OPEN.  Hwy 330/18 from San Bernardino: chains are required on all vehicles except 4WD & AWD with snow tires.   Hwy 38 from Redlands & Hwy 18 from the High Desert through Lucerne Valley are OPEN with no chain requirements.

Expect chain requirements with increased snowfall.  All vehicles including 4 wheel drives should always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months! Keep in mind road conditions are in a constant state of change.

Stretch your dollar further when you visit Big Bear Mountain Resorts: check out the discounts and specials page.  There are current specials and everyday value discounts!

Know B4 you go! Need up-to-the-minute road conditions info?  text SNOW to 52406 for road/snow conditions.

February is a good month to be at Bear, check out the events calendar and see what exciting events are planned.
