Superpipe Special
Back in 1992, Olympic phenom Shaun White was just beginning his career right here in Big Bear. Mr. White was just 6 years old when he started snowboarding and only 7 when he entered his first competition at Snow Summit. According to long time friend of Shaun, Chris Gunnarson, little White was so advanced at age 7 that USASA placed him with the 13 year olds for competitions. Later down the road, White brought his career back to Big Bear for the Van’s Triple Crown #2 where he took 1st in halfpipe.
White first made his mark on the Olympic games back in Torino, where he brought home the gold in halfpipe. He now has taken his talent to Vancouver, hoping to make impressive results once again.
Be sure to tune in to NBC4′s 6 o’clock news tonight for a superpipe special featuring Shaun White and Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
