We decided to spend it on more snowmaking toys! Bear Mountain and Snow Summit spent over $500,000 on new snowmaking power for the 2010-2011 winter season to make your winter ride quality. Today we unloaded a delivery of the latest technology snowmaking fan guns to start making snow the soonest possible. Opening day targeted for the Thanksgiving holiday, weather permitting.

Can you folks extend maybe a shred more hope, a nanometer of a gnat’s hair of comment that might get us through to opening day? Something like, from a year ago, where you at least began to comment on opening SOON, or in “THE NEAR FUTURE?”
Yes, I would like to see you guys have another sneaky day this weekend when we can just have a mini shred and have fun ! Another month before opening day? I’ve been praying to the snow gods, but all they’ve been bringing me is sunshine and occasional cold temperatures.
Open for just one day this weekend, I’m sure everyone would love you !
I think you should open Chair #5 early like you did last season it was perfect it gave season pass holders and other riders a chance to get out there a little early and hold them over till the season started

Come on now everyone. Mother nature has the final say on when Bear will be able to open. They can’t just magically blow snow without weather permitting.
