Snow!

It’s snowing off and on and soon it will snow for good!  With more snowfall in the forecast over the next few days, this holiday weekend is sure to be a winter wonderland. Trade those sunglasses for goggles and get out your puffy coat, then pack your gear and come take advantage of the fresh pow. Get Lift and Lodging Package Deals through the Big Bear Lake Resort Association at BigBear.com. Arrive early for the 3-day weekend and plan for an amazing snowy vacation and don’t forget those chains.

There are three open roads into Big Bear. Hwy 38 through Redlands is open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD and AWD with snow tires. Hwy 18 the back way through Lucerne Valley and Hwy 18 from Waterman through Lake Arrowhead are open with no chains required at this time, expect chain requirement with increased snowfall accumulations.

With several inches of snow forecast for this week it may take a little extra time to get here, but the conditions will be well worth the drive. All vehicles including four-wheel and all wheel drives with snow tires must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months. Please check back for up to the minute road information.
