Another Foot Of Fresh Pow!

Another 10-12 inches of new snow dumped overnight. With a storm total so far of 24 inches. It’s the single largest powder day of the season so don’t miss out. This is the best 3-Day holiday weekend you could ask for!

There are 3 open roads to Big Bear. Hwy 18 the back way thru the Lucerne Valley and Hwy 18 from Waterman thru Lake Arrowhead are open with no chains required. Hwy 38 thru Redlands and is open with chains required on all vehicles except 4wd and All-wheel drive vehicles with snow tires.  Road conditions are in a constant state of change, check back with this report for up to the minute road conditions.

Although it may take a little extra time getting here the powder condtions are well worth the drive.

Due to significant delays and intermittent closures on HWY 18 Waterman/Lake Arrowhead and HWY 38 thru Redlands, we recommend taking HWY 18 thru Lucerne Valley, which has no chains restrictions. The road conditions should improve over the course of the day.

All vehicles including four-wheel and all wheel drives with snow tires must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months.
