2010-11 Season Highlights

What an incredible season! We officially kicked off the 2010-11 winter season with a top to bottom park on Chair 9. We hooked it up with a proper mid-winter park for opening day. We also introduced the Skill Builder Parks this season that are designed to push progression and aid beginners in the learning process, and yet again we were the spot for So Cal’s one and only Superpipe

Throughout the season, we hosted numerous events, the first big one being Craig Coker’s War of Rails. This turned out to be a huge event and a huge success, and you can expect to see this one in years to come. We also hosted Transworld’s Trans Am and won the best stop on the Trans Am Tour! That Bear ice sculpture took a lot of time but it was well worth the reaction, and the first ever pond skim to down-rail was pretty sweet too. For the first year ever, we hosted the Grenade Games with Danny Kass and the Dingo which was just a giant party and a lot of fun. Then, right after GG, we helped raise $10,000 for Japan relief efforts with the Jib for Japan event.

And you can’t forget about the shows we had;  J. Cole, Far East Movement, The Game, Del the Funkee Homisapien, and Agent Orange all performed on the deck at the Beach Bar. To top off all the fun, we got a few late season pow runs.

This season was good fun and we can hardly wait to get next season rolling. Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails is already deep in the works and ready for action, so we’ll be seeing you at the 8th Annual HDHR this September 24th, 2011.

We consolidated our operations to one mountain to be good to Mother Earth so head on over to Snow Summit’s Westridge Park. The snow is still great up here and Snow Summit will be open thru April 23rd.
