Learn to Snowboard or Ski
How do I do this you ask? Well, the first thing that you have to get out of your head is that snowboarding and skiing are hard. It’s not; and the confidence of knowing you can do it will take you a long way. The more you get out there and just ride, the easier everything feels. You go from thinking about every little move, to letting everything just happen naturally. Granted it takes a few steps to get to this point, but that is why we are here. We offer various lessons from some of the best instructors in the world and we have the largest beginner area in Southern California, so if there is one place to get started, it’s Bear Mountain. As soon as you get your basics down, we have another little treat for you. Last season, we added the Skill Builder Parks, making terrain park riding accessible to nearly anyone. So come on up because now is the time to learn. All you have to do is try it once; after that you will be hooked!

I’d like to start my teenagers started snowboarding. I’ll get them one of the lesson packages. Do those include boards and boots? What else do they need in the way of equipment and clothing?
Thanks
Chris Blatt
Why are the lesson start times not posted on the website? Very inconvenient.
If they are it is hard to find.
@Chris- Lesson packages include a lift ticket and lesson. Rentals can be purchased for a discounted rate of $20. They will also need water-resistant pants, a jacket or sweatshirt, goggles or sunglasses, and gloves.
@Peggy- Lesson times vary based on business volume, so arrive early for the best experience and call 909.866.5766 to confirm lineups.
How many students per instructor in the Beyond Beginner classes?
Typically classes have around 10 students, but this varies greatly based on age, level and day of the week.
