1-2 More Nights of Snowmaking!

With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season.

At Bear Mountain we pride ourselves on offering a quality park from the features and terrain to the coverage and snow quality. This is why we are not rushing to open, but taking our time and doing it right!

Even though we don’t have a set opening at this time, you can bet we will be open soon! All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking and we will have the appropriate coverage to begin opening runs for skiing and snowboarding!

Just wondering if you MIGHT be open for the week-end of 12/6-12/08…? We are coming up to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday (about 15-20 of us, her birthday is actually on the 10th, but we are spending the week-end before).
    Thank you… Nancy

At this time we do not have a set opening date. When we open depends on weather and conditions. We have been making snow at every opportunity and still need 1-2 more days of snowmaking before we will be able to open. We are hopeful to open sometime this week! have you reached out to our group sales director? We offer group discounts which you would qualify for :) (groups@bigbearmountainresorts.com) Did you know you also get a free lift ticket on your birthday? If you plan on staying till the 10th make sure your daughter brings her ID so she can get a free ticket!
