Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! At this time all roads are open, for chain restriction information visit our snow report or Caltrans website. We now have Chair 4 open accessing Exhibition and next on our list is the Halfpipe and Showtime. If you haven’t seen the park lately there has […]

As of 8:00pm we have received 1-3 inches of snow and it is still snowing. We hope to wake up tomorrow with a powder day in store for you. At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires. It may take you a little extra time to get here in the morning but it is going to be well worth it. Snowmaking resumed last night and we have added a few new features to the People’s Park, including the slanted C box and the bent down-flat-down rail. […]

Sunday December 15th Bear Mountain hosted a USASA Rail Jam in The Scene. With a fun setup provided by our Park Crew the contest went smooth and the riders had a blast. Taking top honors for the men’s open class was Buzz Holbrook and on the ladies side Renee Shimada topped the competition. Other winners of their division include Justin Hill, Anthony Leyva Jr., and Riley Rivera.
Park Crew now has 100% of the Red Bull Plaza open! The final feature added was the Cop Car Wall Ride and is now setup with two take offs. The Ride-Thru is new to the plaza this year after making its debut in HDHR last September. The Ride-Thru also has two side takeoffs giving you the option to hit either side as a wall ride. Please remember that most Red Bull Plaza features are for advanced riders & skiers.
