New Terrain, New Features, Last Day of Early Season Ticket Pricing and Some Amazing Conditions- Get Up Here!

Good Morning Riders! What an epic week at Bear Mountain Resort! We had an additional 5-7″ of natural snow on top of last week’s 8-11″! We have also had an amazing week for making our signature snow! After Yesterday’s Snow We Had A Great Night For Snowmaking!!!

Riders this morning will find the best conditions of the season as we open at 9 am! Bear Mountain Resort received 5-7″ of natural snow in the last 36 hours and we had a great window of snowmaking conditions last night! All of this translates to a fantastic surface of machine groomed, packed powder and powder conditions! The graphic above shows which trails and lifts are slated to open next as conditions allow. What an amazing day of riding today! We hope everyone enjoyed the fresh powder as much as we did. With all the recent snowfall and the early season pricing (regular season pricing starts on Saturday), tomorrow is a GREAT day to come up. Tomorrow’s forecast is looking bright and sunny with a high of 39 degrees. Be aware there are still some scheduled delays on Highway 18, so plan accordingly and as always, bring chains! 90% Chance Of Snow

Bear Vitals for Wednesday Tickets and rental opens: 8:30 am Chair Lift Hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm New Snow: 90% chance of snow for Wednesday Surface: Machine Groomed Packed Powder Snow Depth: 10-20″ Looks like it’s gonna snow tonight and if the conditions allow, our snowmakers will be putting in some time. It only takes just 5 minutes to make enough snow to fill a swimming pool. Easy Street along with chair 6 has opened for beginners and chairs 1 and 9 will get you to 30 “Bear Built” features. Chance of Snow Today

  We’ve been making real snow all night and there’s a 30% chance that mother nature might bless us with more snow this afternoon. It’s gonna be a good week for the white stuff. CalTrans reports significant delays and closures on Highway 18, so plan your drive accordingly. Always carry snow chains when traveling through mountain areas. Like they say in Cub Scouts, “Always be prepared.” Ticket windows and rentals shops open at 8:30 am. Lift operations will starts at 9 am. The recent storm added to the base, making it 10-20″.
