It’s cool as ever at Bear Mountain

Those strong, hot winds you might be feeling? Not here! Bear Mountain has been downright frigid. Before the Santa Ana winds heat up the LA and Orange County areas, they start as cold air in the mountains. The cool dry air is perfect for snowmaking and we’re busy taking advantage of these great conditions. We’ve been grinding out fresh snow since last night and we are still planning to open Chair 1 on Friday. What better way to beat the turkey hangover than a weekend of snowboarding? Since you’re so stoked about all our fresh snow, we have special discounted rates []

So for now we will continue with our Summer Activities!  Our storm didn’t provide us with much accumulation. We are still waiting for that first inch. I wonder when we will get it? Do you have a prediction? []
