Get Some Midweek Glory

The forecast for tomorrow calls for sunny skies and a high of 42. If you ask anyone that rides all the time, they will tell you the current conditions are excellent in terms of visibility, comfort, snow quality and texture. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just learning, you need to take time off your regularly scheduled program and come play in the best conditions of the season. You wanted snow, we have it: 12-24 inch base with another 16-20 inches of natural snow in the past week, and six nights of snow making…You do the math. Tire chains? Just leave []

The Snow Is Wrapping Up And The Sun Is On It’s Way

We could see some lingering clouds and perhaps even a little snow today as this front moves out and we have a return to sunny skies and temperatures in the 40’s. Perfect weather to sneak away for a day of mid-week skiing or riding. In just over a week we have received 16-20 inches of natural snow and have had six nights of snowmaking allowing us to offer mid-winter conditions in the first week of March. These are the best conditions of the season: You owe it to yourself to come enjoy them. Come enjoy a day at our resorts- you []

While You Get Rain, We Get Snow

Head for the mountains because what you can’t see from the flatlands is the snow storm in the mountains. Lots of snow came down today, big flakes, little flakes, fluffy flakes, slow falling flakes, we are getting all kinds of flakes and it’s still snowing. As we get into the mid-week sessions, pow days are just ahead. This is the opportunity to get on the lift again and again because lift lines are shorter during mid-week which calculates to more laps per hour and your day session lift ticket is also good at our sister resort Snow Summit. Your ticket []

One, Two, and a Third Storm to Hit Our Mountains

It snowed a bit last night and it is coming down this morning. We are expecting more snow all day as the low pressure travels closer to our mountains. It looks like more snow showers on Monday with periodic breaks. After the two storm systems have left us snowed and done, we’ve heard a prediction of up to 2 feet of snow accumulation in some areas. Building our inventory of snow only helps to keep the season going. One storm after another, then another? KROQ storms the mountains with performances by The Orwells (toured with Arctic Monkeys) and The Offspring []

***WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY***

The main edge of the storm won’t arrive until tonight, but if you were here, you can see and feel the storm starting to build. Snow will continue on Sunday into the night, possibly several inches of snowfall expected. As this low pressure leaves the area on Monday, snow showers will still be around with periodic breaks. But as one storm leaves, another one is rolling in right behind it, like how Ricky Bobby would slingshot by staying close behind Cal in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We are all keeping a close watch on these winter storms. Expect 90% []
