This current storm system brought with it some seriously chilly temperatures and while that is AWESOME for snowmaking its pretty cold up on the mountain. Today’s high will be around 32 degrees so layer up and grab a bloody mary at the Beach Bar to keep warm! We received 1-3 inches of snow last night! While this is not quite enough to open for the winter season its a sure sign of whats time come. The forecast shows highs in the mid-50’s and low-60’s so this winter weather won’t last but it sure is getting us excited for this upcoming season! Typically we open for skiing and snowboarding mid to late November. We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow yesterday, making Bear Mountain the place to be this weekend! We have a packed powder surface today and the best skiing and riding in SoCal! We’re looking at mostly sunny skies today with a high of 39. Our park is fully-loaded with features for all skill levels. We received 12-14 inches of so far and its not done yet! The storm is forecast to last the rest of today and into tomorrow, then clearing up for a fun powdery weekend! Remember that Snow Summit’s final night session of the 2012/13 season will be tomorrow, March 9th. There is no night session tonight. This weekend is also the Transworld TransAM 8th and last stop in the competition before finals! Remember to change your clocks this Sunday for Daylights Savings Time. We’ll be springing forward with new operating hours.
