Hot laps, pow slashes, and leg burners were going down all day today! With the biggest storm of the year hitting Friday, attention turned from the park to the pow! With all this new snow there was no shortage of hooting and hollering as everyone chased down the powder. New snow obviously means some pow riding, but it also means Park Staff is fueled up to let their creative juices flow. Stay tuned for park updates coming soon! With the approval the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit will be open with full operations today. We’ve received 12-14 inches of new snow so far and it’s still coming down! The storm is expected to last throughout the day, bringing us even more of the good stuff! Today’s high is 27 and tonight’s low is 6. The storm is expected to clear out tomorrow with mostly sunny skies on Sunday. Today is the perfect day to extend your weekend or winter vacation! We received 4″ of fresh snow last night and today’s surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to POWDER. We’ve also been making snow since early last night and expect to keep the guns all all day, weather permitting. Today’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 39 degrees.
