Both Mountains are 100% open today with excellent spring conditions! Due to business winding down, Bear Mountain will not operate midweek but will be open on weekends! The snow coverage is still really good with plenty of jibs and snow features to look forward to. With several inches of new snow predicted for tomorrow and below average temperatures this week, the snow conditions at Summit will be excellent. Snow Summit will be open through at least April 18th and possibly longer with 100% open terrain. Check out where it all started 20 years ago and head over to Ego Trip SuperPark!

Hello all my beautiful Big Bear friends!! Has everyone been enjoying themselves?! I’d sure hope so; the park is amazing and the lift lines are practically non-existent. The runs are wide open giving you the perfect environment to work on all your new moves. We pay a lot of attention to our pro riders and visiting pros, but all of our beginner friends are just as important. We want YOU to be our next local pro and there’s no better time to practice than now. Our features are designed to help you progress. As soon as you master one, there’s going to be another staring you right in the eye. Not only is the park in tip top shape, but our record snow fall this year is making for unreal spring time conditions. We’re riding January snow in March weather. I’d say it’s like a little peace of Heaven, right here in Big Bear, California!

During the last couple weeks, we have paid a lot of attention to our big features and pro riders. We love that the industry’s top riders are always dropping by to shred our park, but we have equal love for everyone. You don’t have to throw hammers all day to gain our respect. We take pride in establishing a park that is suitable for all levels of riding. If you want to send it 60 feet off a jump, we got you. But if you’re just learning or you like to keep it mellow, we have plenty for you to progress on. Whether you like to slide the boxes or catch some air, Bear is the place for you. The truth is, no matter how good you are, we all started in the same place.

Nigel Holland, who was on the Snow Summit Race Team, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 7. Nigel had brain surgery and most of the tumor was taken out which led to the loss of all motor functions. A year later, Nigel is still undergoing chemo treatment but is on the road to recovery. While he is still in a wheelchair he is in physical therapy and is expected to walk again. His goal is to ski before he walks and with the help of USARC at Bear Mountain, he is well on his way. We love you Nigel!
