The Snow Is Wrapping Up And The Sun Is On It’s Way

We could see some lingering clouds and perhaps even a little snow today¬†as this front moves out and we have a return to sunny skies and temperatures in the 40’s. Perfect weather to sneak away for a day of mid-week skiing or riding. In just over a week we have received 16-20 inches of natural snow and have had six nights of snowmaking allowing us to offer mid-winter conditions in the first week of March. These are the best conditions of the season: You owe it to yourself to come enjoy them. Come enjoy a day at our resorts- you []

This Is The Week For Mid-Week Skiing and Riding

Our storm ended up bringing 5-8 inches of fresh powder to our resort and we were able to make tons and tons of snow during the storm. This means we have been able to completely resurface our entire resort and return it to mid-winter conditions. Skiers and riders will find a machine groomed, packed powder surface with good to very good coverage on open terrain. Take advantage of open roads and open runs during the mid-week period to maximize your fun and your time on the slopes. We want you to save on lift tickets. When you purchase your lift []

While You Get Rain, We Get Snow

Head for the mountains because what you can’t see from the flatlands is the snow storm in the mountains. Lots of snow came down today, big flakes, little flakes, fluffy flakes, slow falling flakes, we are getting all kinds of flakes and it’s still snowing. As we get into the mid-week sessions, pow days are just ahead. This is the opportunity to get on the lift again and again because lift lines are shorter during mid-week which calculates to more laps per hour and your day session lift ticket is also good at our sister resort Snow Summit. Your ticket []

One, Two, and a Third Storm to Hit Our Mountains

It snowed a bit last night and it is coming down this morning. We are expecting more snow all day as the low pressure travels closer to our mountains. It looks like more snow showers on Monday with periodic breaks. After the two storm systems have left us snowed and done, we’ve heard a prediction of up to 2 feet of snow accumulation in some areas. Building our inventory of snow only helps to keep the season going. One storm after another, then another? KROQ storms the mountains with performances by The Orwells (toured with Arctic Monkeys) and The Offspring []

NWS Winter Storm Warning In Effect 4 pm Today Through 4 pm Monday

The Warning calls for periods of snow showers with locally heavy snowfall for the mountains above 5,000 feet. What does this mean? It means Winter is back…Big time! The storm that rolled through Monday dropped 9 inches of fresh snow and gave our snow makers several nights to make even more. The storm arriving today is taking a very similar track and will also allow our snow makers to do what they do best; ensure through hard work that you will find the best conditions for skiing and riding in Southern California on their trails. With this storm stalling over []
