As you all know, we’ve had one heck of a year in terms of snow. We already have 10-11 feet of natural snow this season! That’s insane! It’s making for amazing spring time conditions and some really solid jumping. The natural snow makes for perfect building substance. We can make the lips wider and taller, the decks a little longer, and some nice steep landings. I’m out there everyday taking pics, and it’s really fun to watch everyone take advantage of all our sick jumps. I’m starting to see more and more people hit the top one; and a lot of you are really progressing. Gambler has been getting a lot of love as well. Being my favorite jump in the park, it’s exciting to see everyone enjoy it as much as I do. Keep up all the hard work; everyone here is stoked.

How’s everyone doing on this fine Wednesday afternoon? Looks like the sun is playing some games with us today. It was bright early, some clouds rolled over for a minute, and now it’s sunny again; it’s fixing to be another great day in Big Bear though. I took some runs early this morning, and boy, the snow is something else! It feels really good to be able to hold an edge in March. The snow usually starts heating up this time of the season, but not this year folks. We’re going to be finishing out the season with some amazing conditions… but we won’t have to think about that for a long while!

Focusing in on the “20 Years Of Park Development” marketing concept this year, we set out to create a print ad campaign that would showcase four of our pro team riders and highlight four main themes: innovation, creativity, style and history. For the forth and final ad in this series and the one representing history, we chose a sunset shot of Chris Bradshaw taken during the filming of Big Bear Mountain Resort’s 20th anniversary documentary, Parkumentary. Snow Summit’s Tex Hip was rebuilt for the first time in seven years and he nailed a method on it during this special team shoot. In this ad, Bradshaw adds his image to a museum filled with important pieces of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit’s illustrious past that represents 20 years of building some of the best terrain parks in the business. To see these ads in all of their glory, pick up copies of Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and/or Snowboarder Magazine.
