Heavy Hitters at Bear Mountain

It’s going to be another sunny day in the People’s Park today. There are a lot of really good riders out there this week. Yesterday we had Heiskari, Alito, Bradshaw, Kuzyk, Sexton, and Magoon shredding Park Run. All but Heiskari should be back today, and on Thursday we have Dave Downing and Jussi Oksanen coming up. It’s pretty early for all this action, but we love it; must mean the park is on point… : )

Weekend Up Date with Bear Mountain

Welcome to another day in the People’s Park. We are on weekend number two, so we could imagine this is many of yours first time up here. Hope you all are having fun! We have tons of different features to choose from right now; 41 to be exact. There is a chance of light snowfall tonight and tomorrow with several inches in Sunday night’s weather forecast. Hopefully this means we can keep adding to that feature count… The sun should be back with us Monday afternoon, so you might want to start thinking of that excuse to call in with now!

7 New Terrain Park Features

Last night, Park Staff hooked us up with 5 new jibs and 2 new snow features in Powder Bowl; putting our total at 29 jibs and 12 snow features. This addition really opens up Chair 9/Park Run by giving us another outlet; now you have a choice of runs! The jibs start in upper Powder Bowl with the flat-down rail, and then in the flats, we have a rainbow box, a flat box, and up-down box, and a flat rail with a upward pitch.
It’s hard to believe it’s only November 11 and we are already having this much fun. The park is stacked and the weather is beautiful; if you are not here now, you’re missing out!

Name That BEAR!!!

How many of you have seen the new BEAR mascot at the top of 9? Well, he/she is there and waiting for a photo op with you! We actually added 5 new Bears to the family and they are located all across the mountain; 1 at the top of 9, 1 at Geronimo’s Outpost, 1 at the Learning Center, and 2 at the top of Chair 6. Here’s the scoop. These Bears need names and we want YOU to name them. Think of something, funny, original, creative, or simple; either way, we want YOU to come up with it. This is a great chance to be a part of Bear Mountain history because these Bears will be around for a long time!

Weekend of Good Times

If you haven’t been on the snow yet then WELCOME!! The People’s Park is stacked with 24 jibs and 10 snow features right now and there is something suitable for all levels of riding. As always, we want to make this season the best season yet for you so let us know what you think. Get your season pass, head to the lifts, and let’s get this party started! We received a couple inches of snow this morning followed by light rainfall however the storm is clearing out leaving partly sunny skies. The snow coverage is very good so enjoy.

Park Up-Date 11/10

TOP to BOTTOM opening week; there is your up-date! Just kidding, but that is our favorite part. Hitting jibs is fun, but hitting jibs the entire run is way more fun. We have 22 jibs and 10 snow features right now and they are not your typical opening week features. We have 7 down rails set up perfect skate style, a bunch of kickers that will get you up there, and a list of of other jibs that you will just have to come and see. Everyone seems to be real stoked on all the down rails right now. There are so many of them that you can learn a trick every run. The flow is on point as well. There are plenty of jibs, but there is also some good cruisn’ room which is perfect for getting your feet back. We will also have Chair 7 and Inspiration opening tomorrow for all our eager beginners. It’s go time now my friends! If you’re not here now, you’re missing out!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow! It’s Only A Day Away…

Yep, Opening Day is tomorrow my friends! We can finally put the summer behind us and prepare ourselves for the best season our lives! We’re up here feeling like a bunch of little kids on Christmas Eve; just waiting for the clock to strike the A.M. It’s going to be hard to sleep tonight, but Park Staff sure won’t have that problem because they don’t get to sleep tonight. They will be up all night building features and setting jibs. Tomorrow, when you get here at 8:30, we will have a TOP to BOTTOM park waiting for you to shred.

It’s hard to believe because it came so quick, but tomorrow is the day! We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces again and we cannot wait to get you back in The People’s Park!

Analog Go Huck Yourself Results

The final Analog Go Huck Yourself of the season is a wrap. Once again Park Staff had a fun, shreddable setup prime for some hucking as well as some techy skate lines. As usual everyone who came out was killing it for some of that Ag gear and Mimi’s Cookie Bar Cookies. Here’s the heads who walked away with the most. Check out the Bear Mountain Facebook for pics.

The Games Have Begun!

Grenade Games 7 has officially taken over Bear Mountain. From The Great Divide chanel gap jump to the Mini Pipe and on to the Chinese Eye Downhill the games are underway. Everyone was killing the amazing setup put together by the always awesome Bear Mountain Park Staff. We have another whole day of Grenade Games 7 coming up tomorrow and we will decide who is the Most Boned. So if you missed out on today get up here for all the action tomorrow!
