Sunday Funday is Coming!

Tomorrow is #SundayFunday, but this whole weekend has been the most fun we’ve had in years! We’ve got Geronimo open for the first time since Winter 12/13 along with our 13 ft Half Pipe! All lifts are running and the mountain is nearly 100% open…it’s time to head on up! When you’re done at Bear today, you can take your lift ticket over to Summit for a ticket upgrade¬†on a night session. It’s the last night session of the weekend and it goes until 9:30. The roads are clear and there are no longer chain restrictions, so come join us []

Geronimo!!

The longest run in Southern California will be opening in the morning! We’ve been making snow around the clock to get this famous trail open by the weekend. 19¬†runs are already open along with 30 snow features including 3 1/4 pipes and 47 jibs. All chairs will be spinning tomorrow! Besides Geronimo we will open Street Scene, Gambler and our 1/2 pipe! This cold weather will allow our snowmakers to keep doing what they love, opening more runs and features for you. We have the best snow conditions in two years; with more open terrain than anywhere else in SoCal! []

We’re Ready for the Weekend!

We had a great time ringing in 2015 with you last night! The foot of fresh, champagne powder we got yesterday is making for pristine skiing and riding conditions. We’ve opened 76 features on 18 trails with 10 lifts. The roads are still R2 on SR 330/18 and SR 38, which means chains for all 2WD vehicles and all 4WD vehicles must have snow tires or chains. SR 18 from Lucerne is clear and open. Remember, you are required to have tire chains in your vehicle throughout this season. Pioneers and Explorers classes are SELLING OUT at Snow Summit, but []

Have a Great New Year’s Eve!

What a way to bring in the new year! Our recent storm brought us close to a foot of new snow to our resorts. Thanks to the cold temperatures we have been able to make snow on Geronimo and our feature count is up to 76 including 3 – 1/4 pipes. If you are searching for New Year’s Eve plans on the hill, look no further! We are going to have an awesome party in the Board Room bar here at Bear Mountain. Tickets are only $20 dollars, and it will get you a champagne toast and free appetizers too! []

New Snow, New Year!

The storm is already rolling in. Now it’s time to wait for the snow to fall. If you’re planning on attending our New Year’s Eve bash, now is the best time to drive up! You can wake up tomorrow in a winter wonderland ready to ring in 2015 with us. We’re expecting to get a few inches of fresh snow tonight and for snowfall to continue through tomorrow. Currently the roads are clear and open. We’ll be updating weather and road conditions as the storm develops. As always, don’t forget your tire chains!
