Not a ton, but we received nearly two and a half inches of new snow! Also in the forecast are some cold temps which could mean perfect snowmaking weather. Keep those fingers crossed, winter is coming!

Cold weather has hit Big Bear and we are taking full advantage of these great snowmaking conditions. Our system has been making snow for over 24 hours now and we plan to continue as long as conditions permit. Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! Today we are opening Hidden Valley and Central Park in addition to yesterdays opening of Amusement Park and The Scene. The majority of the Red Bull Plaza is now open and the park has a fresh new look from last weekend’s set-up. Night session returns to Snow Summit tonight from 3pm-9:30pm. We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow yesterday, making Bear Mountain the place to be this weekend! We have a packed powder surface today and the best skiing and riding in SoCal! We’re looking at mostly sunny skies today with a high of 39. Our park is fully-loaded with features for all skill levels. As of 11:12 Saturday March 9th, all three roads to Big Bear are open with no chains required. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months.
