It Snowed All Day And Still Going

It’s been coming down since 9 am and it looks great up here. It looks like much of the same for Monday. This current storm will move along to be replaced by another system hitting our mountains by Monday night. Best case, glass is half full scenario, up to 2 feet of snow in some parts. More terrain, more open trails, more features than any other resort in SoCal and now more snow, Bear is definitely the place to be. It’s the place Boy Scouts of America (BSA) chose to have their Scout Day. BSA is one of the largest []

One, Two, and a Third Storm to Hit Our Mountains

It snowed a bit last night and it is coming down this morning. We are expecting more snow all day as the low pressure travels closer to our mountains. It looks like more snow showers on Monday with periodic breaks. After the two storm systems have left us snowed and done, we’ve heard a prediction of up to 2 feet of snow accumulation in some areas. Building our inventory of snow only helps to keep the season going. One storm after another, then another? We are all keeping a close watch on these winter storms. Expect 90% []

The storm arriving today is taking a very similar track and will also allow our snow makers to do what they do best; ensure through hard work that you will find the best conditions for skiing and riding in Southern California on their trails. That stage is a snowy mountain, dumped-on and covered. The storm on the way will bring us another blanket over our 12-24” base. Can you feel the powder days getting closer? Second of three events is the []
