IT’S OFFICIAL! We’re opening for the 2013-14 winter season this Wednesday November 27th at 8:30 am! We will have Chair 9 open top to bottom with terrain features. This will include trails: Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Please note that the runs off Chair 9 are intermediate to advanced. There will be NO beginner trails available on opening day as Chair 9 will be the only chair open. Plan on arriving early as ticket sales may be limited due to limited terrain. With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season. We gained another 2-4 inches of snow last night and have continued to make snow while conditions permit. New forecasts show another storm rolling in on Thanksgiving that could potentially bring some more snow! Despite the recent snowfall and snowmaking we don’t have a set opening date yet. Always carry chains and drive carefully while winter weather is in effect.
overnight we received a light layer of snow, and it is currently flurrying with cold temps. Snowmaking conditions continue to look brighter and brighter and the forecast is calling for snow from now til Saturday! stay tuned for updates.
