This Weekend The Transworld TransAM ’15 Comes To Bear

Competitors from all over the country have been competing to win an invitation to the Transworld TransAM ’15 Finals at Bear Mountain this weekend, but you can still register and compete with the finalists. The First Place guy and girl from this event will be crowned 2015 TransAm Champion.  As always, this contest will be about  progressing, trying new things, and having fun. That’s what this contest has always been about. Winners will be declared and it’s a good way to get your name out there, but it’s really about the comradery that builds out of everyone snowboarding together and []

Yesterday was Scouts Day, a chance for Scouts from all over Southern California to earn their Snow Sports merit badges. Everyone had a good time, but safety is one of the key things 800 participants got to take away from this experience through the Snowboarder Responsibility Code: Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above. This week we have all witnessed the best conditions of the season. Since the storms passed, we’ve had sunny skies, perfect temperatures, and excellent snow. Scouts from all over Southern California will be here to earn their snow sports merit badge. This annual event gives scouts and their families the opportunity to enjoy our resort with discounted lift tickets. Today is the first of the 2-day camp, by High Cascade Snowboarding Camp of Mt. Hood. Participants will receive coaching to elevate their riding skills and there are riders attending the camp to prepare for the TransAm Snowboarding Tour 2015 Finals at Bear Mountain on []
