Bear Mountain to Open Saturday With the Forecast Calling for a Significant Storm!!!

Bear Mountain expects to open for daily operation this Saturday, December 13th at 8:30 am. Local forecasters are calling for clouds to move in late in the day on Thursday, with a chance of showers overnight before a front moves through Friday morning and drops snow levels down to 6,000 feet! As we open Saturday, with Chair 1 spinning at 8:30 am,  it looks like we should find a few left over snow showers giving way to clearing skies and the cooler, drier weather we love to make snow in! Three Days Left to Buy Your BBMR Season Pass Before Prices Go Up!

It was a tough week for the snow, but we’re back on track doing our best to keep you riding. These recent storms brought some much needed rain to Southern California. We certainly welcome any and all moisture but we would have preferred our precipitation to have fallen in the form of snow. But, no worries, that’s what our Snowmakers are for. Our guns have been blowing all night and into morning laying down a good coverage on the slopes. We are hope-full that we will be open as planned for the weekend. Bear Mountain Woke Up To a Little Extra Snow This Morning!!!!

Mother Nature decided to throw a little surprise our way last night with some snow! It’s beginning to look a lot like winter out there! This can only help our Park Crew as they continue to work tirelessly toward getting this playground open! The forecast is looking pretty good for snowmaking conditions this weekend and into next week. The Snowmaking Plan calls for the system to be operational any time the conditions allow for it!
