Christmas Eve at Bear Mountain

Holidaze

Today is the second official day of our Holiday period and holiday rates are in effect. Snow Summit is offering night skiing/snowboarding tonight through January 4th with the exclusion of Christmas Eve (Dec 24th). Park Staff, as always, has been hard at work creating the most exciting, influential and creative features that any level of skier or snowboarder can enjoy and even excel on. It’s Snowing!

As of 8:00pm we have received 1-3 inches of snow and it is still snowing.  We hope to wake up tomorrow with a powder day in store for you.  At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires.  It may take you a little extra time to get here in the morning but it is going to be well worth it. Snowmaking resumed last night and we have added a few new features to the People’s Park, including the slanted C box and the bent down-flat-down rail. [...]


Amusement Park Open

Open today is Chair 2 with access to Amusement Park and Lower Easy street. Park Run Face received a good amount of snowmaking this week and now both hips in powder bowl are open! Skip the jibs in the gulch for some air time on Park Run. The Red Bull Plaza has also opened up more features and a smaller jump line was built on lower park run. Today we opened Rip’s Run.
