Alrighty friends! We’re set up for a fun day on the mountain. Our resorts are groomed to perfection. Between Snow Summit and Bear Mountain you get nearly 438 rideable acres, over 55 full-width runs, jib pipe, QP, halfpipe and SoCal’s only Superpipe, Red Bull Plaza, some fun steeps, and all the sun deck pleasure you can ask for; all of this for just one lift ticket. Today looks like another incredible day with the high reaching 63 degrees, enjoy.

January is Learn a SnowSport Month

Accessible and affordable, Big Bear Mountain Resorts is Southern California’s Learn to Ski and Ride Headquarters. In partnership with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA), Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are offering FREE rentals (up to a $20 savings) to first time beginners ages 8 and older who purchase a beginner lesson package throughout the month of January except January 7th & 8th and 14th through 16th. Night Session Cancelled at Summit

Bonus for Pass Holders! Although Night Session at Snow Summit is cancelled for tonight through Thursday due to lack of participation, ALL season passes including “Bear Only” and “Night Only” season passes will be accepted today, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Day Session at both Snow Summit (8am- 5pm) and Bear Mountain (8am- 4:30pm).

Night session is scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights through March 10th, 2012 weather permitting.

New Year’s Eve at Bear

Join us for “Saturday’s at the Board Room”, we have the band Function 10. These guys are pretty fun. They will be rocking out from 2pm to 6pm playing all your favorite covers. There will be food and lots of drinks to get you ready for the night. It’s New Years Eve, so you know this is going to get rowdy and fun.

After the band, we have the New Year’s Eve party featuring Club George. It’s going to be a big day, so get your game plan down! Party starts at 9pm to 1am, entry fee is $35 at the door, must be 21 and older.

The snow conditions are the best around; we have excellent coverage and plenty of park features. Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are nearly 100% open and all 26 lifts are available.

Holiday rates are in effect through January 8th.

If you are anything like us, your busy having fun and don’t have time for Christmas shopping. No need to worry though; a Bear Mountain gift card will solve your shopping dillema. They’re accepted anywhere at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit; food, drinks, Ice Box sport shop, lift tickets, lessons, rentals, and they’re even good in the summer for all of our mountain bikers and golfers out there. There’s plenty of sunshine to go around with partly sunny skies in today’s forecast. There is a chance of light snowfall tonight and tomorrow with several inches in Sunday night’s weather forecast. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain have 7 lifts open this weekend and plenty of jibs and jumps on park run, and wide open groomers at Summit to satisfy everyone. Early season rates are in effect through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend so make reservations today.
