8 to 12 Inches of New Snow Expected

USASA started the day at Powder Bowl for the Boardercross competition. People came from all over to compete today, a few from Mammoth, some from Tahoe, LA, OC, and our surrounding areas. KPWR hosted the annual “Snowed In” event on the deck with Flo Rida and winner of American Idol, Jordin Sparks. The weather decided to cooperate and waited until the event was over, to really start snowing. There Is A Storm In Today’s Forecast- And Lots Of Fun…

The Weather Service has reassessed overnight and we are now looking at predictions of snow starting this afternoon and snowing through Tuesday with accumulations of 3 to 7 inches in the base area and more on the summits. So… It’s on its way, what to do today? The destination for this weekend is the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. It’s the same stadium where the Rose Bowl game is traditionally played on New Year’s Day.
