One, Two, and a Third Storm to Hit Our Mountains

It snowed a bit last night and it is coming down this morning. We are expecting more snow all day as the low pressure travels closer to our mountains. It looks like more snow showers on Monday with periodic breaks. After the two storm systems have left us snowed and done, we’ve heard a prediction of up to 2 feet of snow accumulation in some areas. Building our inventory of snow only helps to keep the season going. One storm after another, then another? KROQ storms the mountains with performances by The Orwells (toured with Arctic Monkeys) and The Offspring []

***WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY***

The main edge of the storm won’t arrive until tonight, but if you were here, you can see and feel the storm starting to build. Snow will continue on Sunday into the night, possibly several inches of snowfall expected. As this low pressure leaves the area on Monday, snow showers will still be around with periodic breaks. But as one storm leaves, another one is rolling in right behind it, like how Ricky Bobby would slingshot by staying close behind Cal in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We are all keeping a close watch on these winter storms. Expect 90% []

The storm that rolled through Monday dropped 9 inches of fresh snow and gave our snow makers several nights to make even more. The storm arriving today is taking a very similar track and will also allow our snow makers to do what they do best; ensure through hard work that you will find the best conditions for skiing and riding in Southern California on their trails. With this storm stalling over []

Whether you started doing the snow dance correctly or you finally washed the car in the hopes to bring snow, something worked. Keep doing what you’re doing, because another storm is brining snow as soon as Friday night. Your mid-week riding should be great, then the snow storm this weekend and that should make for another great week of sliding followed by High Cascade Snowboard Camp (HCSC) on March 7th and 8th. The camp is open to riders aged 9 to 18 []
