Happy weekend! Welcome to The People’s Park. We made snow all night long and the snow coverage is great. Today we are going to give you a high of 51 and blue skies; enjoy : )

Power 106 FM will be the fuel to your fire today, playing all your favorite hip hop tracks and getting you amped up for the day. Next time Power 106 comes back (February 11th), they will be bringing up Mac Miller!

We also have another night session tonight over at our sister mountain, Snow Summit. The session starts at 3pm and all season passes, including Bear Mountain Only passes, are good for all night sessions. View this Night Session Video.

The Overnight Celebrity Video Contest is Extended!

We are extending the deadline for The “Overnight Celebrity” Video Contest. All you have to do is submit a video that best represents your Bear Mountain experience. We’ve been making Park videos for years now and we’re sure some of you are thinking “I could do this; this ain’t nothin’ but milk and cookies to me.” Well, now it’s time to put all that talk to work. We want to see how you spend your time up here and what you do to have fun. Show us some cool lines only you know about, fun in The Scene, all your park moves, or just whatever makes you happy up here in the mountains.

Once your video is complete, post it on our Facebook page, where it will be judged by 32,000+ fans and the staff at Bear; making you an overnight celebrity! The winning video will be posted on the Bear Mountain website and each crew member (up to 6 people) will get a FREE Lift Ticket and lunch on us! So if you’re ready to be a Bear Mountain superstar, grab your camera and rally the troops; there are movies to be made. It’s about the Bear experience so have fun with it!

Whether you’re a veteran or you have never been snowboarding, everyone has the same chance of winning this contest.

Contest Rules:

Everyone will use one of the Bear Mountain selected songs.
Video must not exceed 3 minutes.
Every video must have at least one shout out from park staff (park staff cameo).
Every video must have at least 3 high fives.
Please keep it clean for all audiences.
All videos must be entered by January 10^th.

Participant (and Guardian if Participant is a minor) grants permission to Snow Summit Inc. to use Participant’s image appearing in any photographs, videotape, motion picture or any other media for any of Snow Summit Inc. advertising or promotional purposes whatsoever, in perpetuity throughout the world.

Can you name the mystery Easter Bunny featured in the SNOW SUMMIT Easter Egg Hunt VIDEO? This local shred can often be found hittin the sick jibs in Central Park, throwing big airs on the Gambler line, and often chillin on the deck enjoyin the SoCal sun.

Tuesday in the Park

Today was a great day on hill! It was a little overcast the past couple days, so it feels good to get one of those beautiful, so cal, sunny days; which makes for perfect filming conditions to stack footy for the newest web video. I know all of you have been keeping up on these things; or at least I hope you are. You’re the reason we make these videos. Well, if this all news to you, then you have to start visiting the Transworld site at www.twsnow.com. We post a new video every Sunday of our local team and friends shredding up the mountain. They are a lot of fun to watch and you could even learn a thing or two. You could discover a new trick you want to try, or a sick line you want to take. Either way, you have to check them out. Who knows, maybe you could be our next superstar…

Here at Bear Mountain we are proud to have the talent and diversity that we do within our video production crew. Bear’s videographers are constantly riding the park to capture some of the most epic footage for your viewing pleasure. Currently our resort has several videos on Transworld Snowboarding’s web site, one of which being the infamous “Sunday In The Parks.” Weekly, Bear Mountain videographers Mike Benson, Adam Ruzzamenti, and Lee Stockwell team up with a talented group of riders hit The Park to collaborate one amazing video. You Won’t Believe Who Is #2

Transworld Snowboarding Magazine recently announced the top five most popular riders on their website, twsnow.com. It’s not surprising to us who topped the charts but it will probably be a little unexpected to most. We’re amped to see that, we’ll call it, 2.5 out of the top 5 are Bear Mountain team riders and all five are season pass holders. In the fifth spot, we find Bear’s newest team rider, Joe Sexton. Skip two, including jumping right over Shaun White, we find longtime Bear team shredder, Chris Bradshaw in second. Taking the number one spot is Jed Anderson and while he’s not on the Bear team, he spends a lot of time riding The Park. We won’t claim Shaun White even though he grew up riding Bear and Summit or Lucas Magoon despite the fact that he’s been known to spend days shredding Bear with the Midget Mafia.
