You’re never too young or old to learn! No matter what age you are or what your skiing or snowboarding experience is, our expert instructors will get you to the next level in a fun and laid back atmosphere. Bear Mountain offers the largest beginner area and the most innovative and progressive terrain parks in Southern California.
Your ski or snowboard instructors will guide you on a self-paced progression to make learning fun and easy. Professional instructors will work with you until progress to the next level.
At any level of proficiency, your instructor will show you how to blend your personal capabilities with the requirements of navigating the mountain and its many conditions and personalities.
Skiing and snowboarding creates unforgettable experiences. We encourage beginner skiers and snowboarders to take a series of lessons from our ski and snowboard schools and continue to progress in the sport to build wonderful memories.
Adult Lessons
Whether you’ve never been on the snow or you’re trying to improve your already-solid skills, we’ve got a lesson that can fit your needs. It is our mission to turn skiing or boarding into your lifelong passion! Adult group lessons are available for guests 13 and up.

Child Lessons
Our lesson philosophy is to help every child enjoy the wonders of skiing and snowboarding by teaching them the fundamentals and giving them the confidence and praise they need to be successful. Our programs are designed with your child’s development in mind. We create a fun atmosphere that helps kids improve their on-snow skills while having a blast! Child Group lessons are available for kids 8-12.

Little Bear
Little Bear lessons utilize teaching methods and techniques geared specifically to the learning style of young children. Our goal is to give kids the confidence they need to develop a lifelong passion for snow sports. Little Bear is available for children ages 4-7.
