Come Spend Friday in The Park

Tomorrow we are expecting another bluebird day. It’s the “calm before the storm”. Another round of winter weather is expected to roll in over night and stay with us through the weekend accumulating another 3-5″ of new snow!

We are proud to be hosting our annual Scout Day. We look forward to this day every year. This event will be held on March 7. Bring your troop to earn their Snow Sports Merit Badge. For reservations call 909-584-0220 or email

Get Your Mid-Week Riding On Before the Next Storm

The storm hit us on Sunday afternoon and decided to hang around through Monday night. The total snowfall ended up at 9 inches. Then we experienced some low temperatures and dry air made for the perfect condition to make snow. After looking at payroll, we figured out that we invested 50 hours to the snow making crew.

9 (inches of natural snow)
+50 (hours of snow making)
= a completely resurfaced Bear Mountain for you to crush

How about more good news? Weather models are showing yet another storm following the same path and we may get snow as soon as Friday. As the temperature drops and air gets dry, you guessed it, that’s the perfect recipe for another snow making opportunity and we make that a priority. Even when times were hard we were always doing our best to give our guests the best value for their lift ticket. Best value because we offer 26 lifts and 33 open trails, and 141 features and that is way more than any other resort outside Big Bear can offer. But wait…There’s more…

The 11th Annual Scout Day is happening on Saturday, March 7th. This is a chance for scouts to earn their Snow Sport merit badge. It’s not a badge that is easily earned because we’re in SoCal, so what resort did Boy Scouts of America choose? The one with the most trails to offer, right here in Big Bear. Scouts and family members can enjoy a day of learning, earning merit badges, and discounted lift tickets. Reservations are required. For more information on how you can register your troop call Group Sales at 909-584-0220 or email us at

If your kids are not scouts, there’s another way for you to get discounts on your lift tickets. Save up to $15 per ticket by purchasing at least 24 hours in advance. Buy your lift tickets by calling 909-866-5766 or by clicking the button below.
