  • Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are officially closed for the 2009-2010 ski and snowboard season and will not reopen for the weekend. Winter may be over but the summer activities and events that bring Big Bear Mountain Resorts to life in the summer are just around the corner. You can look forward to the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair, golf, hiking, and mountain biking! The Bear Mountain Golf Course and Driving Range are expected to open May 21st. Range tokens and Golf season passes will be available at the Pro Shop. Tee times will be available for scheduling, as we get closer to our opening date. The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair will be open for the AMGEN Tour of California’s mountaintop finish on May 21st and will be open weekend's only beginning May 22nd, then daily beginning June 19th. 2010/2011 Screamin’ Deal Season Passes are on Sale through May 31st! This season pass may be used for the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair. Check out our Summer website for more information.

Road Conditions
3 Ways to Big Bear – Highway 330/18 from San Bernardino through Running Springs (“Front Way”) is the shortest and most direct route. Highway 38 from Redlands (“Back Way”) is the best route when leaving the Valley on weekends and holidays. Highway 18 from Lucerne Valley (“Desert Way”) is best in snowy weather.
Hwy. 330 / 18: (Running Springs) Open with no chains required. Some delays may occur.
Hwy. 38: (Redlands) Open with no chains required.
Hwy. 18: (Lucerne Valley) Open with no chains required.
