Snow Summit is Closed Today

But they are planning to reopen in time for the weekend. Riders can still use their Bear Only passes at Summit any time until we open for daily operations on Dec. 12. We will be at Ski Dazzle at the LA Convention Center this weekend (Dec. 4-7) giving mini-ski lessons and showing off highlights from Riglet Park.  You can also buy and pick up your discounted season pass on site! Guests who buy their passes at Ski Dazzle get a $30 discount and special buddy pass: bring a friend for free any time before Dec 19 or after March 16.

11th Annual Scout Day, March 7, 2015!!

Good news Boy Scouts! Saturday, March 7, 2015!! Mark your troop calendar…Scout Merit Badge Day is coming back to Bear Mountain! Boy scouts all around southern California will be taking advantage of this opportunity. Don’t be the only scout without this badge!!  Discounted lift tickets, lessons, and rentals will give your Scouts the opportunity to join in, and demonstrate portions of skiing or snowboarding with our Snow Sports Merit Badge counselors. War of Rails & Fresh Snow!

We have received 8″ to 10″ of fresh snow over night and it’s still coming down! This is the best storm we’ve had all season. It may take a little extra time traveling to the mountains today but it will be more than worth it! Don’t forget your tire chains, they are required on all vehicles except those with 4wd and awd with snow tires on highways 18 and 38. Highway 330/18 the front way is closed but plans to reopen this morning. Check CalTrans for the latest road information. The worlds biggest ski rail jam starts today after a weather hold yesterday. Completely Rebuilding Our Park

With over 6 days of snowmaking and a few natural snowfalls including 1 to 2 new inches overnight our conditions have drastically improved! All this new snow means we can rebuild our park. Expect big changes top-to-bottom throughout the week including a new double jump line on lower Park Run that is already open. Other new features include an up box to tank tap, an all new massive quarterpipe wall, and new jibs everywhere. Basically, the People’s Park is the best it has been all year!
