In honor of St Patrick’s day we will be celebrating with green beer, corned beef and cabbage, drink specials and live music! KROQ Storms the Mountain today with live music from Atlas Genius out on the sundeck. The late storms from this season have provided us with a solid spring base. The vibe is fun and the soft snow has people throwing down new tricks on our wide variety of park features! So if you haven’t been Spring shredding yet now is the time to discover a whole new day of fun here at Bear Mountain.

With a brief breather in our competition streak, Park Staff was able to get their creativity flowing on Chair 9! We have some wild new features most of which include multiple jibs and possibilities. The SUV is set with an angle into the Van for all sorts of options. The Tank from Trans AM has transition all around it with a Double-Corrugated slide and Pole Jam transfer on to it. Clear blue skies are in the forecast all week long at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Both mountains are 100% open with the most snow and best conditions in SoCal and are just a quick shuttle ride apart. The Park is packed with different level features and unique set ups everywhere you look! With conditions this fun, weather this nice, and little to no crowds during the week, Bear really is the place to be. After Friday’s 12-14 inches of fresh snow, we’re ready for another great day at Bear! Temps are a little warmer today with a high of 45, making for great shred weather. All roads are open and clear, the sun is out and the park is stacked. Plus we have the best snow conditions in SoCal, so what more could you ask for on your Sunday Funday? Transworld TransAm is a wrap, but we’re still in competition mode with USASA’s Halfpipe event today. Remember that Daylight Savings starts today and so do our new operating hours. Lifts open at 8:30am today!
As of 11:12 Saturday March 9th, all three roads to Big Bear are open with no chains required. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months.
