The Weather is in Your Favor

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the High Cascade Snowboarding Camp. This is one way to prepare for the upcoming TransAm Snowboarding Tour 2015 Finals. While some participants attend camp to improve on the skill set they already posses, there are others putting in work to polish up for the competition. While the snowboard camp is going on, you’ll also see a big group of Scouts. The Boy Scouts of America will be here for their annual Scout Day where they will be afforded the opportunity to earn the snow sports merit badge. Amazing Day Repeats

Amazing day after another amazing day, this week is like the movie Groundhog Day where the same day keeps repeating on the next day. No complaints from us, we had the opportunity to make real snow while you were passed out. This will also be the first weekend after the storm…It’s going to be great! It Snowed All Day And Still Going

It’s been coming down since 9 am and it looks great up here. It looks like much of the same for Monday. This current storm will move along to be replaced by another system hitting our mountains by Monday night. Best case, glass is half full scenario, up to 2 feet of snow in some parts. More terrain, more open trails, more features than any other resort in SoCal and now more snow, Bear is definitely the place to be. Fresh Snow!

We received 12-14 inches of so far and its not done yet!  The storm is forecast to last the rest of today and into tomorrow, then clearing up for a fun powdery weekend! Remember that Snow Summit’s final night session of the 2012/13 season will be tomorrow, March 9th. There is no night session tonight. This weekend is also the Transworld TransAM  8th and last stop in the competition before finals! Remember to change your clocks this Sunday for Daylights Savings Time. We’ll be springing forward with new operating hours.

Boy Scouts! Here is your chance to earn your snow sports merit badge!!!  Come up to Bear Mountain March 10, 2012 and have a great day riding and hanging out in the sun.  Boy scouts all around southern California will be taking the test to earn their badge.  Don’t be the only scout without this badge!!
