Road Information

All three roads to Big Bear are open with no chains required. Hwy 330/18 the front way- open- no chains required. Hwy 38 through Redlands- open – no chains required. and Hwy 18 through Lucerne open- no chains required All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during winter months.

Because road and chain conditions are in a constant state of change, please refer to Caltrans or ie511.org for up-to-the-minute information.    


Opening Day Coming Soon

Oh Yeah! Ligit signs of winter… fresh snowfall covers Bear today. While we will not be open this weekend, we do expect to make snow tonight and for¬†several nights to come and we will announce our Opening Day as we get closer.¬† If you want to come up and get your season pass so you are all set to go for opening day, you can visit the Snow Summit Season Pass office from 9-3 on Saturday and 9-1 on Sunday.
