Thirsty Thursday is just around the corner…

What an amazing day of riding today! We hope everyone enjoyed the fresh powder as much as we did. With all the recent snowfall and the early season pricing (regular season pricing starts on Saturday), tomorrow is a GREAT day to come up. Tomorrow’s forecast is looking bright and sunny with a high of 39 degrees. Be aware there are still some scheduled delays on Highway 18, so plan accordingly and as always, bring chains! Bear has the best conditions of the year right now! We are planning to open up Easy Street tomorrow, making it even better for all []

It’s About Time!

It’s hard to believe the first storm of the season hit us yesterday and only brought us 2 inches! We have been lucky in many ways and have remained nearly unaffected by the snow drought. Sure we’d lovvveeee more snow (pow turns and tree riding? Yes, please) but our snowmaking and park crew have been killing it when it comes to keeping the coverage in the park good and the features on point. This recent snowstorm brought us only a few inches but it sure has been enough to really amp up the coverage to midwinter conditions and brought with []

Storm System Rolling Through

Cold weather has hit Big Bear and we are taking full advantage of these great snowmaking conditions. Our system has been making snow for over 24 hours now and we plan to continue as long as conditions permit. Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! At this time all roads are open, for chain restriction information visit our snow report or Caltrans website.   We now have Chair 4 open accessing Exhibition and next on our list is the Halfpipe and Showtime. If you haven’t seen the park lately there has []

Red Bull Plaza

Park Crew now has 100% of the Red Bull Plaza open! The final feature added was the Cop Car Wall Ride and is now setup with two take offs. The Ride-Thru is new to the plaza this year after making its debut in HDHR last September. The Ride-Thru also has two side takeoffs giving you the option to hit either side as a wall ride.   Please remember that most Red Bull Plaza features are for advanced riders & skiers.

Amusement Park Open

Open today is Chair 2 with access to Amusement Park and Lower Easy street. Park Run Face received a good amount of snowmaking this week and now both hips in powder bowl are open! Skip the jibs in the gulch for some air time on Park Run. The Red Bull Plaza has also opened up more features and a smaller jump line was built on lower park run. Today we opened Rip’s Run. Next to open is Hidden Valley, Amusement Park, and ¬†Central Park. All day adult lift tickets are still at our early season rate of just $48 through []
