For the best experience on the Mountain, plan ahead. Start by reserving your lift tickets and lessons (select the date(s) you are visiting then choose the lesson package). This will save you time and guarantee your spot on the mountain this holiday season. When you reserve your lift ticket for Bear Mountain, you can also use it at Snow Summit! With the free inter mountain shuttle, you get double the options for the price of just one ticket.

You also have to remember to save some energy for Snow Summit’s night sessions happening every night through January 7th. Westridge has a full park set-up with excellent machine groomed packed powder conditions. We have the best snow conditions this holiday; so step outside and experience the winter fun right in your backyard. This is why you live in Southern California, have some fun with it!

Although high wind warnings are in effect, Big Bear does not get the same intensity of winds since we are not in the passes or canyons where the strongest winds occur.

We’re counting down to our 8th Annual Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails! The Season Pass Sale begins at 9am, vendor booth city will be open around 11am for giveaways, games and prizes, the BBQ and Beach Bar are opening around lunchtime, you can watch Union Ice shave out our snow base around noon, we’ll have the Hot Dawg eating contest at 1pm- where we’ll pick 8 guys and 8 ladies from the crowd to participate, and the actual rail comp starts at 2pm! The awards ceremony will be around 7pm and then the movie premieres begin just after dark, get your free DVD tomorrow at HDHR! Alrighty, before you go out this morning, you gotta check out this week’s Sunday in the Park on TWSNOW.com. This one is really good! After you have seen the latest from Bear’s locals and visiting pros, get out here and see how you measure up. I’m betting you can hang… Did you see Joe Sexton out there this week? Tight pants, flannel, sunglasses, you can’t miss him; he’s the one killing everything. You’ll get to see him in next weeks Sunday in the Park.

Today is going to be a lot like yesterday, sunny with a high in the low 50′s. Our snowmaking efforts earlier this week did wonders for the resort; giving us a solid based and some nice packed powder. If any of you have been up to Bear during the week, you already know how sweet it is. It’s the same fun loving vibe we all come up on the weekends for, but with wide open runs. We locals are pretty friendly people and it gets kinda lonely during the week. It’d be nice to get a few extra friends up here. Yeah we know you have a job, masses of homework, and people to hang out with, but all that is not as important as a little “you time.” Work and school can be stressful and there is nothing like a couple turns to relieve all of that bad energy and get you back on track. So if your teacher or your boss has you in the roughs, come hang out with us for a minute, we’ll get your mind straight.
