Brownie Lane is where the gnarly starts, and ladies & gentlemen… the gnarly has started! Clayton and the crew have begun to build features for the People’s Park for the 2014/2015 Season. And next week they start on features for this year’s highly anticipated Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails which will be held on Saturday September 27th! The first day of War of Rails kicked off with some heavy snowfall and even heavier skiing. Competitors tackled the elements and went on with the contest as if it were a normal sunny day. The course is huge but speed was not an issue and every person in today’s qualifier went all out to try and lock themselves into tomorrow’s final. What better way to spend your New Years then right at the base of the slopes! Bear Mountain will be having its traditional NYE party in the Boardroom Bar this Tuesday. Wednesday nights snow storm was just a tease of what’s to come this winter. We received 4 inches of snow over night and while it unfortunately is not enough to allow us to open the slopes for the winter could it possibly a sign that winter is coming early? We hope so!
