The course for the 11th Annual Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails (HDHR) has been designed and the Bear Park Crew is currently finishing up the last of the features. Their location for building all these awesome features, Brownie (which is currently living up to the title of “Feature Factory” from a few years ago park edit), is all decked out with the skeletons of jibs and other almost finished features! Snow? We’ve got plenty! Park Features? Over one hundred! Don’t believe what those other people are saying about SoCal having no snow! They (who shall remain nameless) are only speaking about the quality at their own resorts! Here at Bear Mountain we have more than enough to go around. overnight we received a light layer of snow, and it is currently flurrying with cold temps. Snowmaking conditions continue to look brighter and brighter and the forecast is calling for snow from now til Saturday! stay tuned for updates.
Creating and designing the most innovative park is a year round job for our crew. The Feature Factory up and running right now, maintaining current features and designing even crazier things for next year! You may even recognize some features from Snowboarder Magazine’s “The Launch” featured in The Park! Pretty soon construction will be underway for the 10th annual Hot Dawgz and Handrails which promises to be larger and crazier than years past!
It is officially the end of a great season again here at Bear Mountain. Huge thanks to all of our guests and employees for making it all possible. The park was top notch this season and the Red Bull Plaza received some major upgrades that made it a benchmark in street-inspired terrain parks. With so many big events highlighting the season its hard to talk about them all!
