It’s Really Good Up Here

If the other resorts say that they’re “Temporarily Closed” do we have to say we are “Temporarily Open?” We’ve been open daily since the beginning of the season and we’re still going strong. It Snowed All Day And Still Going

It’s been coming down since 9 am and it looks great up here. It looks like much of the same for Monday. This current storm will move along to be replaced by another system hitting our mountains by Monday night. Best case, glass is half full scenario, up to 2 feet of snow in some parts. The main edge of the storm won’t arrive until tonight, but if you were here, you can see and feel the storm starting to build. Snow will continue on Sunday into the night, possibly several inches of snowfall expected. 8 to 12 Inches of New Snow Expected

USASA started the day at Powder Bowl for the Boardercross competition. People came from all over to compete today, a few from Mammoth, some from Tahoe, LA, OC, and our surrounding areas. KPWR hosted the annual “Snowed In” event on the deck with Flo Rida and winner of American Idol, Jordin Sparks. The weather decided to cooperate and waited until the event was over, to really start snowing.
