1-3 Inches of Snow Last Night

We received 1-3 inches of snow last night! While this is not quite enough to open for the winter season its a sure sign of whats time come. The forecast shows highs in the mid-50’s and low-60’s so this winter weather won’t last but it sure is getting us excited for this upcoming season!  Typically we open for skiing and snowboarding mid to late November.  This sure is a good reminder to get your equipment out of the closet and take it to you local ski or snowboard shop for a tune-up and wax before we open.  Reservations for the 2013-14 []

Winter Sneak Peek

Wednesday nights snow storm was just a tease of what’s to come this winter. We received 4 inches of snow over night and while it unfortunately is not enough to allow us to open the slopes for the winter could it possibly a sign that winter is coming early? We hope so! We’ve got a lot of great events in the works for this season including some of your favorites like Transworld Trans-Am and the Volcom PB & J. Park Staff has been hard at work mixing up the flow of the park this year. The Red Bull Plaza has []

18 Inches of Fresh Snow!

Hot laps, pow slashes, and leg burners were going down all day today! With the biggest storm of the year hitting Friday, attention turned from the park to the pow! With all this new snow there was no shortage of hooting and hollering as everyone chased down the powder. New snow obviously means some pow riding, but it also means Park Staff is fueled up to let their creative juices flow. Stay tuned for park updates coming soon! Skies are expected to stay clear throughout the weekend for more sunny days on the snow! Also USASA Slopestyle contest today!

Mother Nature loves Bear! We received 3-5 inches of fresh new snow yesterday and today is bluebird! Line up early for the freshest tracks with today’s powder to machine groomed packed powder surface. Be sure to bundle up because today’s high is 24! It’s a great day for some hot laps on the fresh corduroy on Geronmio and Exhibition. Don’t forget to sign up for tomorrow’s contest: Volcom’s PB & Rail Jam! Register online HERE. There’s also night session tonight and tomorrow at Snow Summit if you can’t get enough of the park.
