Better late than never! After a month long warm spell and a snow drought we are back to winter. Roughly two inches of snow layered our slopes Thursday night and cold temps ever since have provided perfect snowmaking conditions. This cool trend is forecasted to last over a week and we will be taking full advantage of it. We plan to make snow at every available opportunity during this cold streak. With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season. We received a storm total of 14-16 inches yesterday and enjoyed the best powder day of the season! Check out our powder day edit HERE. With snow falling all night Tuesday and most of Wednesday, we have so much new snow that today and tomorrow should be epic days as well! Temps are forecast to stay cool keeping conditions good. Mostly sunny skies are in the rest of this weeks forecast so pack your sunscreen and get ready for the best conditions of the season!
We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow last night and another 2 inches today for a grand total of 14-16 inches! Snow showers are starting to taper off now and we’re looking at mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Today’s high of 30 degrees will keep the snow in great shape, but be sure to bundle up!
