Saturday’s Outlook

Morning folks! Happy Saturday to all our weekend warriors out there. It’s time to forget about everything and just loose yourself in the great snow, great conditions, and great times; but this shouldn’t be a tough challenge with a high of 51 degrees and our excellent snow conditions. Early this week, we received 14″ inches of new snow which is going to make for a splendid day on the slopes. Friday’s Forecast

We’re looking at another day of excellent mid-winter conditions! We have a high of 39 degrees today and the forecast is showing one of those bright yellow circles surrounded by nothing but blue; so we wear your sunscreen kids. This week’s new snow makes for a great park now. Over 14″ of fresh plus snowmaking gave park staff just what they needed to get their park staff on. Happy March!

What a beautiful week to be in Big Bear! Earlier this week we were treated with 10-14″ of fresh powder and today we are looking at mostly sunny skies and a high of 41 degrees. The entire town is white and everyone’s spirits are at an ultimate high. It’s pretty hard to be bummed out with conditions like these. These are the days we live for! Road Conditions

Please check with ie511.org for real time traffic. All roads are OPEN and clear. HWY 330/18 through Running Springs, HWY 38 through Redlands and HWY 18 through Lucerne are open with no chains required. This week’s planned 330 closure has been postponed. Hwy 330/18 the front way is OPEN for travel today and tomorrow. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during the winter months.


Best Powder of the Year!

We got snow! More new snow greeted our mountains yesterday leaving us 10-14 inches of powder to play in this morning. What’s better than a tall cup of coffee to wake you up? That cool, crisp, fresh powder splashing you in the face as your board surfs through the first few layers of the untracked! There is nothing like that feeling, and we lived it this morning. We got to experience the lightest, most delightful snow of the year.
