Storm System Rolling Through

Cold weather has hit Big Bear and we are taking full advantage of these great snowmaking conditions. Our system has been making snow for over 24 hours now and we plan to continue as long as conditions permit. Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! At this time all roads are open, for chain restriction information visit our snow report or Caltrans website.   We now have Chair 4 open accessing Exhibition and next on our list is the Halfpipe and Showtime. If you haven’t seen the park lately there has [...]

It’s Snowing!

As of 8:00pm we have received 1-3 inches of snow and it is still snowing.  We hope to wake up tomorrow with a powder day in store for you.  At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires.  It may take you a little extra time to get here in the morning but it is going to be well worth it. Snowmaking resumed last night and we have added a few new features to the People’s Park, including the slanted C box and the bent down-flat-down rail. [...]

Snow Report

Old Man Winter might be dropping in on Big Bear this week with a chance of snow today through Friday night. Skies are forecast to clear out by Saturday, providing excellent conditions for all you Weekend Warriors. Keep checking the forecast while you’re making plans to be here this weekend. We have a really fun park set-up right now! Chair 6 has all sorts of smaller boxes and rails including a mini Battleship flat bar as well as some fun snake lines and easier jumps. Chair 5’s jump line, wall, jibs, and both halfpipes receive less traffic and can provide some nice getaway laps [...]

3 Inches of Fresh Snow Sunday

It also has a big wall ride, some beginner/ intermediate jumps and rails, and both halfpipes! The forecast for the rest of the week shows sunny skies and mild temperatures making for great shred weather! Also check out this weeks Sunday In The Park and our ALL-NEW all ski Bear [...]

On The Bright Side

The sun is out this morning and skies are clearing. There is still a chance of some scattered showers and snow levels are forecast to drop so we could see a little fresh snow Sunday and Monday. Our park is still on point. We have down bars for days up top and our jump lines are still fun and poppy! The Street Scene has sean some editions and the Red Bull Plaza just doesn’t get old with so many possibilities! Enjoy all the X Games action and coverage from the Board Room Bar. Team rider Dylan Alito received top honors in yesterday’s Street Finals by taking home [...]
