Bear Is The Place To Learn

Did you know that Bear Mountain is home to the largest beginner area in Southern California? There is no better place to get your feet wet, as they say, in a new sport. Our Learn to Ski and Ride month promotion is on.  Purchase any Adult or Young Adult first time beginner-only learn to ski or snowboard package and receive free rental equipment. Riglet and all children’s programs will receive a $15 discount off of regular package price. Advance reservations required. Between both resorts we have 26 open runs, all lifts are available and more than 100 features, including our half pipe! []


Get A Taste Of What’s To Come At The Plaza

Park Staff is on the job creating “Bear Built” features and the Red Bull Plaza is in the works!  To give you a little taste of what’s to come in the near future, we’ve set up 4 features in the Plaza: The Entrance, City Center, Creeper Wall and Kink Wall. A couple of these features were just introduced at Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails and now it’s your turn to hit them. Tomorrow morning, rentals and tickets will open at 7:30, and the first chairs start at 8:00. Expect *17 open runs and 10 lifts in operation. Night session goes from 3-9:30 tonight at []


HDHR Inches Closer

The course for the 11th Annual Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails (HDHR) has been designed and the Bear Park Crew is currently finishing up the last of the features. Their location for building all these awesome features, Brownie (which is currently living up to the title of “Feature Factory” from a few years ago park edit), is all decked out with the skeletons of jibs and other almost finished features! All that’s missing is the riders to hit them! Stay tuned next week when we’ll announce the riders for this event! What’s next on the agenda as we prepare for HDHR? Well, next []


New Park, Air Bag & Sean Kingston!

Park Crew has out done themselves yet again with a new park that is ridiculously fun. Lower Park run is all new with a double jump line, Pole Jam and set-up jump! This weekend Dos Equis will be bringing an Air Bag here to Bear Mountain. Those who are 21 and over may sign up throughout the weekend to try some wild moves off the huge kicker we have built for this event. Thanks to a lasting cold front after the snowstorm last Thursday we have been able to make snow around the clock for almost 3 days straight! Now that we have more snow to work with you can expect some changes to our current setup. Who doesn’t love a fresh park? Sunday In The Park Ep. 7 is out now.
