Better late than never! After a month long warm spell and a snow drought we are back to winter. Roughly two inches of snow layered our slopes Thursday night and cold temps ever since have provided perfect snowmaking conditions. This cool trend is forecasted to last over a week and we will be taking full advantage of it. We plan to make snow at every available opportunity during this cold streak. We just got done with the Volcom PB and J and let’s count it as another successful contest. Kids came from all over to kill the set-up and make their mark. The little guys definitely made their presence. A few of them were barely waste tall but that didn’t stop them from charging features three times their size. That was fun to watch. The big guys killed it too. With dudes like Alex Heresford, Erik Leon, Jordan Smalls, Lenny Mazotti, and Devin Allen, the riders really had to work to get noticed. Some light snowfall is likely later this afternoon and our high is 39 degrees. Today we have the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam. Registration is at 8am in the Board Room and the contest will start shortly after. Whether your competing or just riding today, take a few minutes to check the event out. Big comp this weekend! The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is strolling through town this Sunday. This is always a well produced contest because Volcom does it right. Temps cool down a little bit today bringing us a high of 43 degrees. We had a great night of snowmaking and we expect to make even more tonight. The park is still killing it. Last week’s warm weather didn’t even slow us down, we’ve been getting new hits and new features every day including The Superpipe!
