If you could pick only one day out of the entire year to ride, it’s easy.  Pick any day this week.  Earlier this week featured some great powder days and today featured sunshine, blue skies, a perfect temperature, amazing snow texture and tons of snow to go around… you can’t ask for more. Get Some Midweek Glory

The forecast for tomorrow calls for sunny skies and a high of 42. If you ask anyone that rides all the time, they will tell you the current conditions are excellent in terms of visibility, comfort, snow quality and texture. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just learning, you need to take time off your regularly scheduled program and come play in the best conditions of the season. You wanted snow, we have it: 12-24 inch base with another 16-20 inches of natural snow in the past week, and six nights of snow making…You do the math. Tire chains? Just leave []

It Snowed All Day And Still Going

It’s been coming down since 9 am and it looks great up here. It looks like much of the same for Monday. More terrain, more open trails, more features than any other resort in SoCal and now more snow, Bear is definitely the place to be. It’s the place Boy Scouts of America (BSA) chose to have their Scout Day. BSA is one of the largest []

The Fun Continues Tomorrow…

We had a blast today making some turns!  We were able to reopen Chair 9 for top to bottom terrain due to the almost foot of the fresh natural snow we received yesterday and also thanks to our world class snowmaking system! Tomorrow is on point to open more terrain as we have already kicked on the snow guns now that the temperatures are dropping! Tomorrow we will have beginner terrain as we plan to open Chair 7 and that also means that we will be starting to host lessons here at our resort! It’s looking like this cold weather []

Remember that Snow Summit’s final night session of the 2012/13 season will be tomorrow, March 9th. There is no night session tonight. This weekend is also the Transworld TransAM  8th and last stop in the competition before finals! Remember to change your clocks this Sunday for Daylights Savings Time.
