We received 12-14 inches of so far and its not done yet! The storm is forecast to last the rest of today and into tomorrow, then clearing up for a fun powdery weekend! Remember that Snow Summit’s final night session of the 2012/13 season will be tomorrow, March 9th. There is no night session tonight. This weekend is also the Transworld TransAM 8th and last stop in the competition before finals! Remember to change your clocks this Sunday for Daylights Savings Time. We’ll be springing forward with new operating hours.

We received a storm total of 14-16 inches yesterday and enjoyed the best powder day of the season! Check out our powder day edit HERE. With snow falling all night Tuesday and most of Wednesday, we have so much new snow that today and tomorrow should be epic days as well! Temps are forecast to stay cool keeping conditions good. Mostly sunny skies are in the rest of this weeks forecast so pack your sunscreen and get ready for the best conditions of the season!
We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow last night and another 2 inches today for a grand total of 14-16 inches! Snow showers are starting to taper off now and we’re looking at mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Today’s high of 30 degrees will keep the snow in great shape, but be sure to bundle up! Mother Nature loves Big Bear! She dropped 18 inches of fresh snow on Friday with an additional 2 on Friday night. We received another 2-4 on Sunday night bringing our weekend storm total to 24 inches! Cold temps have also made for some great snowmaking and excellent midwinter conditions! Hot laps, pow slashes, and leg burners were going down all day today! With the biggest storm of the year hitting Friday, attention turned from the park to the pow! With all this new snow there was no shortage of hooting and hollering as everyone chased down the powder. New snow obviously means some pow riding, but it also means Park Staff is fueled up to let their creative juices flow. Stay tuned for park updates coming soon!
