We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow last night and another 2 inches today for a grand total of 14-16 inches! Snow showers are starting to taper off now and we’re looking at mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Today’s high of 30 degrees will keep the snow in great shape, but be sure to bundle up! Mother Nature loves Big Bear! She dropped 18 inches of fresh snow on Friday with an additional 2 on Friday night. We received another 2-4 on Sunday night bringing our weekend storm total to 24 inches! Cold temps have also made for some great snowmaking and excellent midwinter conditions! Hot laps, pow slashes, and leg burners were going down all day today! With the biggest storm of the year hitting Friday, attention turned from the park to the pow! With all this new snow there was no shortage of hooting and hollering as everyone chased down the powder. New snow obviously means some pow riding, but it also means Park Staff is fueled up to let their creative juices flow. Stay tuned for park updates coming soon! Today is the perfect day to extend your weekend or winter vacation! We received 4″ of fresh snow last night and today’s surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to POWDER. We’ve also been making snow since early last night and expect to keep the guns all all day, weather permitting. Today’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 39 degrees.
