Saturday on the Snow

We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow yesterday, making Bear Mountain the place to be this weekend! We have a packed powder surface today and the best skiing and riding in SoCal! We’re looking at mostly sunny skies today with a high of 39. Our park is fully-loaded with features for all skill levels. We offer the largest beginner area in Southern California, and have the highest lift served peak in Southern California! Need a couple more reasons to head up this weekend? How about coming to check out the Transworld Snowboarding TransAm event. It is the last stop of [...]

The biggest ski event on the West Coast and the biggest rail jam in the world has come to an end. Day two of the competition went off! Every competitor from day one stepped it up to shred the intimidatingly huge course with top notch professional skiers such as LJ Sternio, Sean Jordan, Clayton Vila, and mud more! The top 15 squared off in finals for what was an epic throw down of insane skiers. At the end of the day the three big winners were 3rd place Dale Talkington, 2nd place Pat Goodnough, but the man on top of [...]

Midweek Bliss

There is no place to be like Bear Mountain right now! With conditions this good, weather this nice, and little to no crowds during the week, it really is the place to be. Comfortable temps and sunny skies are predicted throughout the week and our current surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to machine groomed hard pack. The park is packed with features and unique set ups everywhere you look! War Of Rails is on the near horizon coming this Friday through Sunday. As the biggest ski contest on the West Coast it attracts big names, big cash prizes, and big [...]

Central Park underwent some serious upgrades this last week and you can expect more big changes coming to the rest of the park in the next week!  Sunny skies and mild temps are in the forecast for the rest of the week which means perfect weather to come take some laps in our ridiculously fun park!

Today at Bear

Good day to all! A couple inches of new snow greets us this morning and we have the best snow conditions around! An action packed weekend is ahead of us, and it starts now! Chair 8 accessing Geronimo opens up today, making the resort nearly 100% open. We also have been undergoing some serious park work; if you were here yesterday, you already saw the two picture perfect jumps on Lower Park Run and if not then you are in for a real treat : ) There are plenty of Skill Builder features scattered across the resort; so be sure to check out the entire mountain for fun stuff.
